Build Garrett's Space: Bring Hope to Life

The Build Garrett's Space campaign…

The Build Garrett's Space campaign launched in fall 2023 and we are excited to share that we have raised more than $9M toward our $13.5M goal. When you support this campaign, you are joining a transformative movement for young adult mental health support in our community. The Garrett’s Space campus will be a new model for mental health support, one that focuses on peer connections through professionally facilitated peer support and evidence-informed programming in a non-clinical environment. As we work to build our campus, we aim to create a blueprint that can be replicated nationwide to support young adults facing depression and anxiety.

The latest news:

In fall of 2024, the Superior Township Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve our final site plan. And in February of 2025, the Superior Township Board of Trustees unanimously approved our request for a deed restriction, which has a similar effect as a conservation easement, preserving 58 acres of the Garrett's Space property.

Now, we are excited to announce that we have officially broken ground on our residence and creativity studio!

This year, we're bringing our programming in-person to our property for the first time. We'll continue with construction of the Garrett's Space campus through summer of 2026, at which point Garrett's Space will operate as a day program for one year until our residence opens for overnight stays in mid-2027.

Thank you for your support of Garrett's Space, which is bringing this vision to life!

“We believe it is critical to create programming and spaces that are not only evidence-informed and effective, but also appeal to young adults who frequently are discouraged and unwilling to try more traditional approaches and options with an institutional feel.”
