December 2025 Newsletter

Hello!

Last week was the winter solstice—the longest night of the year.

From here, the days begin to slowly grow longer. Light doesn’t return all at once, but it does return. More light is coming, one minute at a time.

Today, we’re holding gratitude for that small shift—and for your generosity, which helps young people move through the holiday season knowing they are supported and valued.

The Impact of Your Genorisity

In 2025, you helped us offer ongoing weekly support groups for 3 cohorts of young adults, host 20 in-person gatherings, and alongside our participants, co-create a vision of a healing community that enriches and saves lives.

If you missed it, hear more of what your support is making possible in this video message from our Clinical Director and Support Group Clinician, Peggy Galimberti.

If you have already donated to Garrett's Space, thank you so much for your generosity. If you are considering donating, please know that every single gift genuinely helps us continue this important work.

Even when the world is overwhelming and things are hard, your kindness and grace help us support and empower young people in our community—and they spread this kindness and grace to others, too. Thank you for making this ripple effect possible!

GIVE NOW

Construction Corner

Our construction team has been hard at work completing the renovations to the existing house on our property needed to secure our Certificate of Occupancy. Because of your support this holiday season, we're furnishing new programming spaces and are on track to be able to welcome our participants to in-person activities at our property in early 2026!

December Events

Thank you to the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor and the guests at the Paul Keller Jazz Ensemble Christmas Concert for inviting us to share more about our work and supporting Garrett's Space with a "love offering"!

We're grateful for our caring community of support! Thank you for being a part of it.

Wishing you a warm and peaceful holiday season—and a happy new year.
